Excellent service from our first meeting right through to delivery. I highly recommend this family business if you are looking for a new bed.
Wouter and his family have not only provided expert guidance on our bed, they have also gone above and beyond in supporting us de- and re-construct our bed when we moved apartments.
We bought a king size bed, mattress & duvet from Wouter & Brigitte. The service from day one has been incredible! A truly well run family business!
The duvet cover is the most visible element in your bedroom and largely determines the room's atmosphere. At Slaapkamer Amsterdam, we believe that duvet covers are more than just decorative items; they are the layers directly in contact with your skin that perfect your sleeping comfort. Did you know that the color of your bedding can affect how quickly you fall asleep? Calm tones such as blue, sand, and white promote relaxation. Our collection combines high-quality cotton duvet covers with timeless designs, ensuring you step into a bed that looks and feels beautiful every night.
The choice of material for your duvet cover is closely related to how you experience temperature. At Slaapkamer Amsterdam, we offer a selection of luxury duvet covers with unique properties:
Whether you have a small single bed or a royal twin bed, finding the right dimensions is essential. In our Amsterdam store, we offer duvet covers in all popular sizes:
A high-quality duvet cover from Slaapkamer Amsterdam will last for years with proper care. To wash a duvet cover properly, we recommend washing it inside out at 60°C to effectively remove dust mites. Because we opt for premium qualities like Egyptian cotton, you will notice the fabric becomes even more supple after each wash.
Choosing from our range of beautiful duvet covers is a sensory experience. What does percale feel like compared to sateen? Which color matches your walls? We are happy to help you make the right choice. At Slaapkamer Amsterdam, a passion for textiles is key. Stop by, get inspired by our made-up beds, and find the luxury duvet covers you'll love to curl up under every night.
To determine what size duvet cover I need, simply match the dimensions of your current duvet. Standard sizes include duvet cover 140x200/220 for singles, 200x200/220 for doubles, and 240x220 for king sizes. If you have an extra-large bed, a 260x220 size provides that luxurious, overhanging look.
The difference between cotton and sateen duvet covers lies in the weave. Regular cotton duvet covers (percale) have a matte finish and a crisp feel. Sateen is woven to create a silky sheen and a much softer, smoother touch against the skin. While both are breathable, sateen feels slightly more substantial and luxurious.
To wash a duvet cover properly, always turn it inside out before placing it in the machine. This protects the colors and the fabric surface. Most high-quality cotton covers can be washed at 60°C. Always check the washing instructions on the label inside the duvet cover. Avoid overloading the machine and tumble dry on low heat or hang to air dry to maintain the integrity of the fibers.
If you are wondering where to buy luxury duvet cover with expert advice, Slaapkamer Amsterdam is the place to go. We offer an exclusive collection made from premium materials. You can experience the fabrics in our showroom and find the perfect style for your bedroom.
