The benefits of a wooden bed for your bedroom

A wooden bed is more than just furniture — it's an investment in your sleeping comfort. Unlike plastic or metal beds, wood feels warm and immediately creates a cozy atmosphere. In addition, a high-quality solid wood bed lasts a very long time, so you invest in sustainability in the long term. The wooden beds have a timeless design, so they will still fit well in your bedroom after all this time.

Standard wooden bed 160x200 and other popular sizes

Choosing the right size is essential for optimal sleeping comfort. A 160x200 wooden bed is the most popular double option and fits perfectly into standard bedrooms. Larger sizes such as the 180x200 wooden bed and the 200x200 wooden bed are ideal for spacious bedrooms and people who love luxury. Compact sizes are available for children's rooms and guest rooms:

  • Wooden bed 90x200: perfect for kids and teen rooms
  • Wooden bed 120x200: double bed option for compact spaces
  • Wooden bed 140x200: double bed/double bed with optimal comfort
  • Wooden bed 160x200: standard double size
  • Wooden bed 180x200: extra wide for luxurious sleeping comfort
  • Wooden bed 200x200: king size bed for maximum space

Extra long wooden beds

The standard length for a wooden bed is 2 metres (200 cm). All our beds are also available in shorter and longer lengths:

  • Wooden bed length 190: variant for smaller rooms or shorter people
  • Wooden bed length 200: standard length for a Dutch bed
  • Wooden bed length 210: longer bed for taller people
  • Wooden bed length 220: extra long bed for extra tall people

Quality difference between our solid wood beds and normal wooden beds

A solid wood bed is characterised by its robust construction. Where many cheap beds are made of chipboard or MDF, a solid bed consists entirely of real wood. This means no glued chips or veneers, but real quality that you can see and feel. The frame is assembled together with sturdy metal parts that ensure that the bed will not crack.

Styles and materials: find the wooden bed that's right for you

Wooden beds come in different styles and types of wood, each with its own character. A Scandinavian wooden bed is characterized by light tones and clean, minimalist lines, perfect for a quiet, modern bedroom:

FAQs

Why is my wooden bed creaking and what can I do about it?

A wooden bed can crack due to friction between joints or due to the action of the wood. You can remedy this by tightening the screws, lightly waxing joints, or placing felt between the parts. Ultimately, it's also about the quality of the bed; this is often less common with high-quality solid wood beds.

Which wood is best for a bed frame?

Different types of wood can be used for a sturdy and durable wooden bed frame. For example, oak, beech and ash wood are good types of wood for a sturdy and durable bed. These varieties are very strong and therefore last for years without sagging or deforming.

How do I maintain a wooden bed?

You can easily maintain a wooden bed by dusting it regularly and cleaning it with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh cleaning agents. For solid wood, a care oil or a protective wax is ideal.

What is the manufacturer's warranty on the wooden beds?

Our wooden beds have a 5-year manufacturer's warranty. This warranty is provided by Hasena, our supplier that we have been working with for over 20 years. A company that has been established in the bed business for 70 years.

What sizes of wooden beds are available?

Wooden beds are available in all standard sizes: 90x200, 120x200, 140x200, 160x200, 180x200 and 200x200cm. Larger sizes provide more comfort, especially for couples. Shorter and longer variants are also available (length 190, 210 and 220 cm).

Can I get a wooden bed with storage space?

Yes, we have wooden beds with integrated storage such as drawers or a lift-up system. Ideal for small bedrooms or extra bed linen storage.
